UGANDA 2006 MISSION TRIP

Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Where: Kyotera, Uganda (Africa) Pronounced “cho-tera”.
Trip Dates: September 15–27 2006

Indigenous Apostle: Pastor Willy Tumwine (Holy Spirit Fire Church, Mbarara, Uganda. Planted 22 churches.)
Indigenous Team Members: About 12 pastors, worship leaders, and helpers from Mbarara and Kampala.
Additional Team Members: Everyone who prayed or gave money toward the effort.
Local Born Again Pastors Supporting the Effort: About 30.
Pastor of New Church: Pastor Elijah Kasuse

Mission: To usher in the Kingdom of the King of Kings, our Savior Jesus Christ the One and Only.
To preach the gospel, win as many souls as possible, establish a new “Holy Spirit Fire Church”.
To promote unity within the existing body of Christ (30 “Born-Again” churches) in Kyotera.

Kyotera Belief Groups: (based on 2002 census of Rakai district, Uganda):
“Catholic” (dead Catholic-based religion) 33%, “Protestant” (dead Anglican-based religion) 18%
“Muslim” (7%), “Born Again” (people who are actually saved) 2%

Summary:
We prayed violently in the shadow of the Almighty. We executed God’s justice against the spiritual forces of evil.
We spoke in tongues. We cast out devils. The deaf could hear. The mute could speak.
The sick were healed. The blind could see. The poor had the gospel preached to them.
Over 500 visibly responded to the gospel message.

New believers received the baptism of the Holy Spirit everywhere.
People brought their family and friends to be born again.
A staged open public debate between “The Born Agains” and the Muslims, along with intense spiritual warfare and travail, resulted in a powerful move of the Holy Spirit which shut the mouth of opposition and brought in a spiritual atmosphere of peace, which in turn resulted in many (including Muslims) receiving Christ  (Col 2:15)
Unity increased among the local churches.
We taught in seminars for new believers and for pastors and church leaders.
A new “Holy Spirit Fire Church” was planted with over 100 in attendance the first Sunday.
Land was purchased on which to build a new "Holy Spirit Fire Church" meeting facility.
All funds needed had already been raised to build the new church meeting facility.

The New “Holy Spirit Fire Church” in Kyotera:
Apostle Willy Tumwine will continue to provide ongoing support, direction and encouragement.
Money has already been provided to rent out “The Super Hall” for a time until they have their own place.
Land nearby has already been purchased for the new church facility.
Money has already been provided for construction of the new church facility.
Eph 2:20 The foundation is the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as chief cornerstone.
1 Pet 2:5 The newly-saved are living stones being built up as a spiritual house.
Pastor Elijah plans to take his people out weekly to witness Christ and make heaven freely available to Kyotera.
Please take a moment and lift up Pastor Elijah in prayer. His flock may not quite yet understand their responsibility to support him as their spiritual authority and covering.
