Open mike night...
Was AWESOME!! I was pretty stressed about it. I was really sure no one
would come. It started at 7 and we waited till 8 and no one came. So I
made Lez get up and sing... and then I got up and sang... then this one
Indian lady got up and sang in Hindi... she was SO GOOD... and one by
one people just started wandering in! It was soo cool!!! So much funny
stuff happened! And we made a lot of new friends! It made we wish I had
done this the first week! It was TOTALLY GREAT! Then umm... Sunday it
was an all worship service... I started out in English... then Weasia
did some in English... then the Germans did a song and I played
guitar... and I did a song for Priscille while she sang in French... and
lots of other people got up and did songs in all other languages... it
was really nice.
I've felt really nervous all week and kind of gross in my spirit... but
I guess I'm feeling better now...
One guy heard about my open mike and came up to me at lunch today and
asked if I would host one in his restaurant on Thursday... I'm not sure
if I can do that night now... I told him I would tell him tomorrow...
but that’s was really cool! It makes me wish I could stay here longer
and really start doing things!
Oh and singing at that open mike on Monday went really well for me! 2 of
my friends I've made in town stopped by to see me... I did 3 songs and
it was fun!
Its crazy to think I only have about 4 days left of working at the cafe!
Umm ran out of things to say...
