WOW GUYS! okay I don' t have much time cause I'm at a cafe so I may not
spell everything right... but yeah, I traveled forever! the plane was
okay.. and we traveled all night on a bus to get here and its about a 15
min. hike to get to the house from the road! but its beautiful! The
spiritual atmosphere is crazy here... there are Buddhist monks
everywhere... and we're in the same town as the dalai lama. Cows really
do just wander everywhere... it’s SO funny. I saw a monkey! and I got
pooped on by a bird... poor people lie in the street... beggars are
everywhere.. people who have been mutilated on purpose to be made into
better beggars...Temples everywhere... it's overwhelming... Also there’s
a demon possessed guy who lives in our neighborhood... he tried to grab
Steffy yesterday.. he wasn't there today though.. I still haven't seem
him.. but it struck fear in me.. even though I know I have nothing to be
afraid of.. but PLEASE pray cause I will have to walk past there
everyday. Umm I was really calm the whole time we were traveling.. but
yesterday and today I was having a hard time with anxiety stuff. we also
leave for trekking tomorrow for 5 days... this is the part of the trip I
am most worried about.. just cause its really not my thing.. so please
be praying that God gives me strength and that I can stay happy and calm
about it. The house we're staying in is very nice.. we all have beds on
the floor... the man who runs it is from Sweden... and they have 18
people in their DTS right now. They're all really cool and nice. The
food here has been SWEET so far. I like it a lot. Its really nice
weather most of the time.. it very cold for me at night and in the
morning! There are also butterflies everywhere!! its so crazy beautiful
here.. I'm getting some good pictures.. I'm kind of shy to take pictures
in the town though.. but I'm getting over it haha. The people are very
friendly. Today we're about to go buy Indian clothes, I'm super excited
about this... The team is doing pretty well. we're growing together..
the guys are doing a great job of taking care of us and trying to put us
first. I love them so much. Hopefully we'll find out about if Weasia is
coming this week or what’s up with that.. he’s our other leader.. there
was some guy who was supposed to buy him his plane ticket.. and hadn’t
happened yet last time we talked to him.. so pray that he will and that
he can still come. Erin (our main leader) is my hero. I love her. Mostly
pray against fear for me.. I want to stay strong and not be afraid of
all the weird spiritual stuff around me.. I can feel it. and that our
team stays in unity. I feel kind of weird with God right now.. like
distant or something so pray that I'm able to work through that. I need
him more than I ever have. Also that I'm able to relate to these
people.. India is THE OPPOSITE of America.. it’s crazy. I'm kind of
rambling and trying to type as fast as I can before time runs out.. I
love you all so much!!! please pray! this is the craziest adventure of
my life!
